I wrote that as a daily affirmation and put it in the system a week ago unbeknownst to me, it landed to punctuate Simone Biles beautifully exemplifying exactly how it is done.

If you thought self-care was just about spa days, let me assure you, it is not.

It is about caring for your own health and well-being, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually even when others are pressuring you to meet their expectations over your own.

If you find yourself living a life of duty and obligation, rather than your heart’s desire, consider how loving it would be to create and hold healthy boundaries for yourself.
