I feel awkward admitting I was unaware of Juneenth until now, but I have already admitted to you how I have played the role of ostrich and buried my head in the sand with all sorts of lame excuses (like I am a sensitive empath and unable to handle the truth, and what could I possibly do to change it anyway?)
So now that I am immersing myself in books, movies, articles, and videos to attempt to bring myself somewhat up to speed, I thought I would share an article from a dynamic, inspirational young woman, a true thought leader and agent of change, Haile Thomas.
If you have been on my mailing list for years, you will remember Haile as the only girl/now woman I ever interviewed 3 times as the Goddess of the Month at ages 10, 12, and 15 years. She is that remarkable and a positive sign that we can create a whole new world.
Here is Haile’s article published in Food and Wine, just in time for us to acknowledge and celebrate a holiday we should have been celebrating all along…
All my love and prayers for healing this planet,
Sheila

(I stopped doing my Goddess of the Month interviews a few years ago, otherwise I probably would have interviewed her again, she is that amazing and rich with new projects and impact. She is definitely a woman to follow. 🙂
